Introducing all the sounds of the Spanish alphabet, including open syllables, through American Sign Language, music, and motion. Generally, two worksheets are included per week. Original illustrations highlighting animals native to Latin America are included for children to color as well.

This workbook includes one page per week for children to illustrate and narrate each story in Volume One. It provides a fun way to keep a record of the year's books and learning experiences, and an opportunity to build narration skills in Spanish.
Can be printed with either adult- or child-sized lines so narrations told verbally can be recorded by an adult, or children can practice writing their own.

Featuring a meaningful quote from each of the 36 assigned weekly readings for your child to copy and practice their handwriting in Spanish.
Both print and cursive options available.
English translations of all copywork selections are included at the back of this workbook.

Including: Lowercase and uppercase letter cards representing the sounds in Spanish (print and cursive options), dot number cards (1-10) for game play, shape cards, emotion board game page, and tiles for transportation bingo.

Rather than learning the alphabet in a traditional order from A to Z, this workbook was carefully and specifically designed to teach phonics in a way that makes sense for the Spanish language. Vowels are introduced before consonants. As we learn the sound /m/, for example, we will also introduce the open syllables: ma, me, mi, mo, and mu. By teaching these syllables (consonant sounds in combination with each vowel) we will be providing our children with the tools they need to begin decoding Spanish text.
